We love and adore dogs just as much as you do. You are welcome to bring along your four-legged bestie, however, please respect our rules and note that a pet fee will apply. Guests traveling with a trained Service Animal will not be charged a pet fee. Charges may be incurred, however, should a Service Animal damage or soil the Hotel. While Emotional Support Animals or Comfort Animals are often used as part of a medical treatment plan as therapy animals, they are not considered service animals under the ADA and remain subject to the pet agreement and non-refundable fee. Failure to register your pet at the front desk will result in additional fees.

Hearts of Balboa is a program designed to assist Balboa Bay Resort and Balboa Bay Club team members and / or their immediate family in a time of hardship. Fun and engaging fundraisers for Hearts of Balboa are held throughout the year. All employees are encouraged to participate in the fundraisers and team members may submit one request for assistance per six-month period.

In 2022 Balboa Bay Resort launched its Pampered Pooch Package. Designed to provide a luxurious escape for dogs, the Pampered Pooch Package includes a variety of stylish, delicious, and entertaining amenities upon check-in. Part of the proceeds from the Pampered Pooch Package will benefit nonprofit Lovebugs Rescue, a foster-based animal rescue located in Southern California that works with overpopulated animal shelters to lessen the number of animals being euthanized unnecessarily.

Balboa Bay Resort has been recognized in the top 25% of all AAA inspected properties in North America for cleanliness and high level condition of their overall property for consecutive years.

On behalf of AAA’s 62 million members, their team of National Office Inspectors personally visited Balboa Bay Resort to perform a through on-site inspection which now includes ATP surface testing and Balboa Bay Resort has been designated – The Best of The Best!
