Drawing inspiration from the charming waterfront establishments of the Italian Riviera, the décor boasts white-washed wood paneling and custom glass front doors that warmly welcome you to A+O Restaurant | Bar. Step outside onto the expansive wrap-around patio adorned with striped umbrellas, white resin stone tables, wicker chairs, and multiple fire pit tables, providing an inviting setting to enjoy from day to night, complemented by live entertainment offered most evenings.

A Colombian native and longtime California resident, Chef Bernal brings over 20 years of global culinary experience in luxury hospitality, with a strong background in leading high-end kitchens. Known for his ingredient-driven, seasonal approach to cuisine and collaborative leadership style, Chef Bernal emphasizes local sourcing and refined, coastal-inspired dishes. He is leading all culinary operations across dining venues at Balboa Bay Resort & Club, including A+O Restaurant | Bar, Blend Café, Members Grill, catered events, private dining, and more. Chef Bernal is debuting new seasonal menus at Balboa Bay Resort, reflecting his creative interpretation of classic West Coast fare that’s vibrant and healthy.
